Biography
B Rocks chose contemporary gospel because contemporary gospel first chose him.
Growing up with influences like The Maranatha Singers, Dupe Olulana, Funmi Aragbaiye, King Sunny Ade, Lagbaja, Angelique Kidjo, The Corrs, Backstreet Boys, and Westlife, his sound palette became intentionally borderless. He believes music is an art form that should not be put in a box.
His ministry journey started as a teenager in the Sunday School choir when the choir master challenged each member to write a song. His song was chosen and ministered in the main church. An avid listener of The World Chart Show and Rick D on radio, he discovered early that music is a beautiful expression of the soul.
The defining moment came around 1991 in Kaduna at Living Faith Church during a visit to his aunt, where he answered an altar call and gave his life to Christ.
Today, B Rocks is a business owner, working across Human Capital Management and Waste Management, a songwriter of 30 self-owned songs, and a worshipper whose anchor scripture is 1 Corinthians 13:13 — ‘For love is the greatest gift of all.’
When you listen to B Rocks, you experience a spiritual journey that ushers you into God’s presence, helping you appreciate His awesomeness and connect deeper.
